HeatX warrants that the new heat exchangers, replacement plates, gaskets and tube bundles it supplies will be free from defects in material and workmanship, and will conform to the specification stated on the order acknowledgment, for the period stated on your quotation or order acknowledgment.
The length of the warranty period and the event that starts it are set out in those documents. Where they differ from this page, the quotation or order acknowledgment governs.
Where a quotation states a guaranteed duty, that guarantee applies to the product, flows, temperatures, utility conditions and fouling allowance given in the order. Operation outside those conditions, or with a product of different fat, solids or particulate content, falls outside the performance guarantee.
The warranty does not extend to:
Install, operate, clean and maintain the equipment in line with the documents supplied with it. Records of cleaning cycles, pressure tests and operating conditions help HeatX review a claim quickly and are worth keeping from the first day of service.
Notify HeatX in writing as soon as a defect is found and within the warranty period. Include the order number, the nameplate details, a description of the fault and photographs where you can.
Do not dismantle or modify the equipment beyond what is needed to keep the plant safe until HeatX has reviewed the claim. HeatX may ask for the affected item to be returned for inspection; items are returned only with prior written authorization.
If HeatX confirms a defect covered by this warranty, HeatX will, at its option, replace the defective item or credit the price paid for it. This is the sole remedy under the warranty.
This warranty is given in place of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law does not allow them to be excluded. HeatX is not liable for loss of product, loss of production, loss of profit, or any other indirect or consequential loss.
