About HeatX

Application engineers for dairy heat transfer

Who you reach at HeatX

HeatX is a team of application engineers who size and supply heat exchangers. On this site the work is dairy: plate frames for fluid milk, wide-gap packs for cream and ice cream mix, tube-in-tube for cultured product and pieces, and straight-tube and shell-and-tube units where pressure, UHT or brush cleaning rules out a plate.

When you call, the engineer you reach can talk through regeneration percentage, glycol approach and gasket compounds, and is the same person who puts your quotation together. That keeps the duty you described and the unit you receive tied to each other from the first conversation to the drawing you approve.

Our work covers new equipment only: complete units, and new plates, gaskets and tube bundles that put an existing frame or shell back to its duty.

What we supply

New complete exchangers for dairy duty, and new replacement plates, gaskets and tube bundles for frames and shells already in service. The product side is 316L, tri-clamp and drainable, finished to 32 Ra or 20 Ra, and built to 3-A where your inspector expects the symbol.

Around the exchanger

We do not sell chillers, CIP skids or flow-diversion valves, and we do not sell holding tubes on their own. Where your line needs them, we set the exchanger's connections, pressures and temperatures so it fits alongside them.

Who we work with

Plant, process and QA engineers at Grade A and manufacturing-grade dairies running fluid milk, cream, whey and permeate, cheese milk, yogurt and cultured product, ice cream mix and UHT lines.

How to reach us

We answer the phone 8am to 5pm. A request sent through the quote form reaches the same engineers, and drawings or nameplate photos can be attached to an e-mail.

The construction follows the product. Every dairy quote starts from what runs through the exchanger, not from a catalog page.

How HeatX application engineers approach dairy duty

How a dairy request moves through HeatX

A request starts with the product and the duty. We check fat and solids, particulates, flows and temperatures, choose the construction, then run the thermal sizing against your utility. If something will not balance, such as an approach your glycol cannot reach, we say so before we price it. Where two constructions would both work, the quotation shows the trade-off in plates, floor space and cleaning so your team can choose.

HeatX is the distributor for the exchanger lines we sell. We take responsibility for the selection: the sizing, the construction, the code and finish requirements, and the documents your QA team files with the unit.

Replacement work runs the same way. A new plate pack or tube bundle is matched to the duty you run now, which is not always the duty on the original data sheet, so we ask what has changed since the unit was installed.
