The call goes fastest with the product and its fat and solids, any fines, pulp or pieces, the flow in lb/h or gal/h, product inlet and outlet temperatures, and the utility you have with its supply and return temperatures. A process sketch or the data sheet of the exchanger you run now helps as well.

Replacing an existing unit

For a plate pack or tube bundle swap, send a photo of the frame nameplate, the plate count and the connection size. If the pack has been changed over the years, tell us what changed, so the new pack matches the duty you run today rather than the one on the original drawing.
